Terroir, meaning land, is a project by Onyx Coffee Lab that explores and celebrates the common ground between chocolate and coffee and the many traits of each of their environments that give them their signature tastes. This bar features cacao and coffee from Tanzania. It contains 65% cacao.
Grown between 1400-2000 meters by smallholders in the Arusha region. Varieties of Bourbon, Kents, Typica, Blue Mountain and is washed and sun-dried. Sweet cedar, soy nut, and citric tasting notes.
Grown by the Kokoa Kamili co-op in the Morogoro region. Trinitario and Criollo varieties harvested between August - November. Box fermentation in locally sourced and constructed eucalyptus three-tier boxes and then dried on raised tables. Bright cocoa base with hints of cherry, coffee, and lemon.
